Using Krodium inside Bagpipper

Browse in sealed tabs, switch on the blocker and bring your bookmarks across.

Krodium is our safe-for-work browser. Inside Bagpipper it opens from the Krodium icon in the sidebar, in tabs of its own.

Tabs and the start page

A new tab shows the start page: big icons for the sites you use, your work sites and regional business news. Type an address or a search into the bar at the top.

Each tab is kept in its own sandbox, apart from your Viremail sign-in, cookies and storage. A website open in Krodium cannot reach your mail.

The blocker

The shield switch next to the address bar turns blocking on or off. It starts off. When it is on, Krodium blocks adverts and trackers using well-known open lists that are refreshed every day.

Bring your bookmarks

  1. Open Settings, choose This device, then Krodium.
  2. Choose the browser to import from: Chrome, Edge, Brave, Arc, Firefox or Safari.
  3. Pick what to bring across: bookmarks, history and open tabs. If the other browser is open, you may be asked to quit it first.

Cookies are never imported. To bring passwords, export them to a file from the other browser and import that file into Vault. Delete the file afterwards.

Passwords and sync

Krodium can fill and save logins from your Vault. Your bookmarks and history sync between your devices with end-to-end encryption.

On a company account

If your company manages Krodium, you see a “Managed by your company” line. Your admin may block some sites or kinds of download. An activity report reaches your company only after you have read and accepted a notice that says so.
