Uninstalling removes the app from your Mac. Your Viremail account, mail, files and documents stay safe online.
- Click the app’s icon in the menu bar and choose Quit. Closing the window alone keeps it running.
- If it opens at login, turn that off first in Bagpipper’s Settings, under This device.
- Open your Applications folder and drag the app to the Bin. Empty the Bin.
Remove its data too
The app keeps its settings, its local copy of the suite and your encrypted clipboard history in a folder of its own. To remove them:
- In Finder, choose Go, then Go to Folder, and enter ~/Library/Application Support.
- Drag the folder named Viremail (or Bagpipper) to the Bin.
- Optionally, open Keychain Access and delete the item named Viremail Safe Storage.
Sign the computer out
To disconnect the Mac from your account as well, sign out in Bagpipper before uninstalling, or end its session under Active sessions in Viremail’s security settings.
If you made Bagpipper your default email app, choose another in the settings of the Mail app that comes with macOS.
